Helli & Canada: Mill Pond, Dorchester

On Sunday we went for a hike to Mill Pond, Dorchester. It is this beautiful place quite near here (although you need a car to get there, so not too near). We also went to look for some geocaches and found one. The cache was on a very steep hill under/in a tree. There was a hole in the beginning of the tree and the person who had made the cache had put a rubber snake on the mouth of the hole. When I was climing up the hill I first got scared because I didn't immediately notice it was just a rubber one but thought it to be a real snake. I absolutely hate snakes so I told Ben he had to come and take the snake out first so that I could take the cache which I was able to see already. So Ben had to clime up too and so we could get the cache out. Usually there's a pen in the cache, but for some reason there wasn't one in this one. No one had any kind of pen with them so we weren't able to mark our nick names on the cache. Here is some pictures again.

Sunnuntaina mentiin kävelyllertämään Dorchesteriin Mill Pondille, eli voisko sanoa suomeks Myllylammelle. Se on sellanen kaunis paikka tässä aika lähellä, johon pääsee autolla näppärästi. Meillä oli parin geokätkön tiedot messissä ja löydettiinkin yksi. Kätkö oli piilossa sellasen puun alkuosassa olevassa reiässä, ja puu itse sijaitsi todella jyrkässä mäessä. Kätkön tekijä oli laittanut reiän suulle sellasen ällöttävän kumikäärmeen, ja kun kiipesin sitä mäkeä ylös, en heti tajunnut, että se on vaan lelu. Pelästyin oikeesti aluks. Vihaan käärmeitä ihan hirveesti, joten sanoin Benille, että sen täytyy tulla ottaan se käärme pois siitä reiän suulta, että saadaan kätkö ulos sieltä. Siinä vaiheessa jo näin sen kätkön sen kumikäärmeen takana. Benin oli siis pakko kiivetä ylös ja niin saatiin se kätkö sieltä pois. Yleensä kätkössä on aina jonkun näkönen kynä, mutta jostain syystä tässä ei ollutkaan, joten ei pystytty merkkaamaan että ollaan käyty siellä. Tässä taas kuvia.
